Thank you so much for sharing the honest truth. What a relief to share it with a trusted person (counselor), and what a relief to publish it openly in a blog (friends and family and randoms), and beyond. When the truth can emerge, we can finally let the burden down. Thanks for writing. Keep it coming!
Adam, you have always been wise beyond your years. Nothing wrong with understanding our weaknesses and searching for help to correct it. I love you. Dad
You and I are apparently a lot more alike than I’d realized! I think about you guys often and pray for y’all just as much. Mental health has always been a struggle for me, some years worse than others, and I just want to say I’m proud of you for taking care of yourself and, in turn, your family. The world needs you here.
Also, random, but maybe look into synesthesia if you haven’t already. Seems like your color theory isn’t all that uncommon!
Please let us know if we can do anything to help you guys! Dinner, babysitting, Mario Kart tournament, anything! I mean it. 🤍
This is so wonderful I’m so glad your trying to help yourself so many people give up. You are so smart kind and Loved TY Lord. PS lots of people need to read this. ❤️
I'm so sorry. It's a battle that people don't understand unless they're there...but I just hope people can know there is help out there and people who understand. When you really talk to people you find out that many have the same battles they're fighting, they're just afraid to admit it.
Using your pain, your fear, your experience to help others. I have a brother that died in a year before he died he came and told us that he was dying even though he hadn’t been to the doctor and nothing appeared to be wrong. He loved God and stayed true to Him. I believe that God prepares us for things that are ahead as he prepared you prior to your diagnosis. It will be exciting to see how your story touches others.
I admire your transparency! Here’s to a lifetime of good health!

I was hoping someone would look into the color thing...I'll look up synesthesia!
Thank you for your kind words, we will have to have a chat soon about all of this stuff. And we will take you up on your kind offer!
Yes, it’s totally a think to have emotions or pain associated with colors. You have a special brain!

Thank you Kelly! Thanks for sharing your story of your brother. I know we're not here forever, it's best to help each other while we can.
